Being on the product team at Virgin Pulse taught me to stop being selfish with my design and to instead focus solely on the end user. As the mobile design lead, I needed to achieve parity in (and eventually surpass) functionality between the mobile and desktop apps.

The mobile team was pretty much left alone to do so, allowing for development, testing, and iteration, which was exhilarating (and also probably how every feature in a product should be developed).
